Onyx stone  is a cryptocrystalline form of Quartz, meaning it is a unique rock texture made up of crystals from the second most abundant mineral in the Earth’s continental crust. The colours range from white to almost every colour. The colour of Onyx is created through impurities which seep into the rock as it forms. It is a semi-precious stone and the astrological stone of Leo.

Onyx comes from the Greek word Onyx meaning claw, fingernail. It was popular with the ancient Greeks, Romans and Egyptians. There are various stories and Myths about the stone, however it is believed the stone increases happiness, intuition, and one’s instincts and good for people who are under extreme emotional and mental stress as it is a strength giving stone which helps  keep you focused ,release tensions, grief, and  sorrows that may happen in life, giving you  peace of mind.

Onyx has been known to be used as protection against black magic in the ancient times, and considered quite a powerful stone with great healing energy.

Pakistan is known to have the finest quality of onyx mines in the world.  The Onyx stone is famous for its beautiful colours, unique shades and designs inside the stone.
